The Cyclones are Charging!
Even though Duke remains comfortably atop the rankings of the best combined mens and womens programs in the nation, Iowa State is making a run.
Tennessee, longtime second place team in the rankings, have suffered mightily from the road woes of their mens team. While the recent success of Notre Dame and Iowa States mens teams have lifted them up in the rankings.
Also, this is the first time since we started this poll that UConn has dropped out. The lack of any votes at all for the UConn mens team is to blame.
There are just 14 schools where both teams are getting votes in the AP polls. Only 8 have teams that are both ranked in the top 25. Duke and Iowa State are the only schools with mens and womens teams in the top 10.
